ORT in Lithuania

ORT is represented by two educational establishments in Lithuania: Jewish school in Vilnius and a Media Centre in the Jewish Community centre. 

Vilnius Sholom Aleichem ORT School

A Jewish school in Vilnius was established in 1989, ten years later Heftsiba program was introduced, in cooperation with the Israeli government. An ORT Technology Centre was installed in 2002 and in 2015 Gymnasium got new building in the center of Vilnius; it was completely reconstructed and re-equipped at the costs of the state and World ORT. The ORT Media Centre in Jewish Community, Vilnius

The ORT Media Centre, opened in August 2011 and generously funded by Mr. Clifford Gundle, provides ICT training to members of the 3,500-strong Jewish community.The Media Centre also serves a tool for unemployed people to learn about the basics of computers and to use the facility to look for jobs on the Internet.
