The main impact of the centre is improving the social and economic status of socially vulnerable segments of the population by providing training for professional work with new information technologies. The centre’s target audience includes unemployed women, disabled people, elderly people and young students. Members of the Jewish community access the centre.

Courses

The centre offers the following courses:

Computer Literacy

This course is designed for total beginners who do not have any experience of using computers. Students learn about the fundamentals of PC hardware and software, operational systems, working with files and folders, and using standard office applications.

Microsoft Excel

This course, designed for office managers and bookkeepers, covers data entry, formulae, functions, charts and diagrams.

Microsoft Word

This course, designed for office managers, covers the fundamentals of text and image editing.

Internet

This course covers surfing the internet, using e-mail, instant messaging and video conferencing.

Microsoft PowerPoint

This course teaches students the fundamentals of Microsoft PowerPoint – such as creating slides, inserting picture and videos, setting up animations – together with techniques for delivering effective presentations.

Computer Graphics and Design

This course covers the basics of design, Adobe Photoshop raster graphics, Corel Draw vector graphics, the differences between vector and raster graphics, and techniques for combining both types of graphics.

Adobe Photoshop (+ Corel Draw Consultations)

This course covers the basics of design, Adobe Photoshop raster graphics, Corel Draw vector graphics, the differences between vector and raster graphics, and techniques for combining both types of graphics.

The basic Google services

The course includes the study of the search text and video documentation, search for and creation of training materials, posting information on the website, interaction with colleagues, crap files and documentation, planning and organization of time, the collection and processing of information, the use of video.

Microsoft Design

The course includes an overview of the software features search and save image files, editing photos, imaging, production of marketing materials and the creation of the film.

Office Manager

The course combines training to work with Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets, graphics editors and the creation of presentations in Power Point.

Contributions to the national education system

The centre co-operates with the city’s educational authorities to provide training, seminars and lectures for educators, students of the city’s business school, teachers, parents and school students.
