Virtual Math Club
This series of master-classes and networking across ORT schools is aimed primarily at increasing students' interest in the study of mathematics. Virtual Math Club meetings are held in a format of video conference, which is attended by pairs of countries at a time.
In every activity, students from two different schools are meeting together with the project coordinator along with the teachers from both of the schools. Each pair of two schools has a different learning program in order to be more appropriate to the different students' levels, needs and interests. Some examples of the topics covered are: strategic games, coin weighing and pouring of liquid tasks, polymino, solving puzzles and logical tasks
The project promotes the students' collaborative math skills, fostering an interest in the discipline and advancement in their academic studies and future careers.
