Shikma Regional Junior High and Shikma Regional High School are located just 2 kilometres from the border with the Palestinian Authority in Gaza. The schools have a combined enrolment of 390 students in grades 7-12, and employ 25 part-time and 25 full-time teachers. Shikma’s student population is made up of 80 percent native-born Israelis, 15 percent Russian immigrants and 5 percent Ethiopian immigrants.
