Curriculum & Academic Life

Colegio Olamí ORT follows the Mexican national curriculum (SEP), enriched with its own model focused on innovation, Jewish education, and global perspectives. From Kindergarten, where Montessori philosophy is blended with PBL, through to High School, students engage with interdisciplinary projects that culminate in presentations and real-world applications.

Language learning is central, with Hebrew and English taught alongside Spanish. English is strengthened through Cambridge certifications, while a High School Dual Diploma with Hudson Global Scholars allows students to graduate with both Mexican and American diplomas.

Signature programs include:

  • Helping by Doing (HBD): middle school service-learning projects grounded in Jewish values.

  • Megamot: high school elective courses co-created with universities, NGOs, and experts.

  • Power Lab: individualized support for students with special educational needs, including speech, Hebrew, and learning therapies.

Extracurricular workshops range from robotics, musical theater, ceramics, and gardening to sports such as soccer, volleyball, and American football. This broad offering ensures students’ intellectual, artistic, and physical development.

Enrichment & Student Life

Student life is enriched by leadership opportunities, cultural events, and community engagement. The Student Council, Model United Nations, and initiatives such as EducomLab for socio-emotional development give students platforms for growth and responsibility.

Cultural and academic highlights include participation in Festival Aviv, Habimá theater events, science fairs, robotics competitions, sports tournaments, and the literary magazine Tacón de letra. Annual events such as the Book & Music Fair and ExpoArte showcase creativity and talent, while social service programs and humanitarian initiatives connect students with broader societal needs.

Innovation & Resource Sharing

Colegio Olamí ORT is recognized for its pioneering educational spaces, such as the Imagine Lab, a four-wall immersive learning center, and multiple Makerspaces, robotics centers, and science labs. Its innovative programs include Spark Lab, an entrepreneurship accelerator where high school students design and launch their own business projects.

These practices, alongside interdisciplinary PBL projects and its inclusive approach to Jewish education, stand as models to share across the ORT network. Future development includes strengthening alumni engagement, advancing sustainability initiatives, and scaling the use of digital innovation.

Educating for Life

STEAM education is a foundation of the School, integrated into every PBL initiative and supported by specialized spaces like the Sababa Art Lab, digital media center, and robotics facilities. Students regularly compete in national and international robotics contests and showcase their projects in science fairs.

Entrepreneurship is cultivated through Spark Lab and Megamot electives, giving students first-hand experience in business innovation. Wellbeing is also prioritized through the Cultura Shalom program, which fosters emotional regulation, peaceful conflict resolution, and digital safety, while supporting students’ overall psychological and physical wellbeing.

Jewish Experience

Jewish life is at the heart of Colegio Olamí ORT. The curriculum includes Hebrew, Tanach, Jewish history, holidays, and Israeli culture, complemented by experiential programs. Through the Migván program, students choose electives such as Jewish philosophy, literature, art, gastronomy, or Hasbara. Daily life includes optional morning minyan twice a week and immersive holiday celebrations organized by a dedicated committee.

International experiences strengthen identity, with middle school students taking a six-week trip to Israel, high school students eligible for the March of the Living, and many graduates continuing with a gap year in Israel. The School also participates in national and international Jewish competitions such as Jidón Tzionut, Merotz la Milón, and Jidón HaTanaj, where its students have won top awards.

Global Citizenship

Global citizenship is promoted through cultural exchanges, school twinning projects, and collaborations within the ORT network. Programs promoting Tikun Olam such as community volunteering, and humanitarian outreach - including food distribution, migrant support, and blood donation campaigns - instill empathy and responsibility in students.

Colegio Olamí ORT also emphasizes environmental sustainability, identifying itself as a green school and integrating reforestation, ecological awareness, and sustainable practices into School life. This holistic approach ensures graduates are prepared to be compassionate leaders in their local and global communities.
