Lycée ORT, Strasbourg

ORT Strasbourg is unique amongst the French ORT colleges because it consists of a high school, a college and a university. These institutions cater for 500 pupils and students – primarily from France, Morocco, Spain and Israel.

ORT first opened its school in Strasbourg in 1946, teaching mechanics, electrical engineering, dressmaking and ironwork.

Nowadays, the campus comprises three different buildings: the high school – a historic Jewish school; the college and the university, including a kosher restaurant and student apartments.

ORT Strasbourg has developed a strong fashion and textile design partnership with ORT Moscow Technology College. Since 2010, students from Moscow and Strasbourg visit each other on alternate years with the purpose of expanding their knowledge and experience of fashion and textile design.
