ORT in Ukraine

The first ORT school in Ukraine was opened in Odessa in 1997. In August 2000 World ORT and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine signed a memorandum to formalize their cooperation in the fields of general, elementary and secondary professional education. Since that time, a significant number of ORT schools and vocational training centers have been established in the country.

ORT is a regional partner of Hewlett-Packard in countries of the former Soviet Union for implementing the HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs. This is a global program that trains students, potential entrepreneurs and small business owners to harness the power of IT to establish and grow their businesses. ORT coordinates the running of HP LIFE training centers in Kiev, Lviv and Slavutych.
