Shibli High School, which serves the Arab sector, has an enrolment of 270 Bedouin Arab students, many of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds. In an effort to break the cycle of poverty that many of the students experience, teachers at Shibli have worked hard to improve the education offered to students – such that over the last ten years, the school has seen an increase of twenty percent in the matriculation pass rate, with many students going on to university.
