ORT Lyon
Founded in 1945 and rooted in a building belonging to the Jewish community, ORT Lyon has grown into a multi-pathway centre serving learners from Grade 9 through BTS. Its programmes span accounting, human resources, and information technology, enabling students either to continue into higher education or to enter the workforce, including via apprenticeships after the high school diploma. ORT Lyon combines academic progression with practical training in a caring, inclusive environment.

Distinctives & Pathways
ORT Lyon’s structure is designed to link upper-secondary studies directly to recognised post-secondary qualifications. Clear progression routes are built into the timetable so that learners can move from initial training to BTS according to their goals, with guidance aligned to further study or immediate professional insertion.

Projects & Innovation
As a member of the ORT France network, ORT Lyon plays an active role in several national and international innovation initiatives:
CyberCup4ALL: ORT Lyon is a major participant in this cyberattack simulation competition, which develops students’ teamwork, problem-solving, and digital security skills. The program immerses students in professional-level scenarios, building critical awareness and confidence in IT risk environments.
Mental Health & Wellbeing Program: ORT Lyon became part of World ORT’s wellbeing education pilot, focusing on emotional resilience and student-centered pedagogies. Teachers received targeted training, and students took part in reflective workshops to support their mental health and sense of belonging.
