Analyst in Information Technology

Information technologies and their impact on economic and social development have had a profound effect on systems design in recent years. This program is focused on developing integrated systems aligned to real business needs and promoting innovation as an engine of change.

The curriculum includes: fundamental concepts of computer systems and networks, object-oriented programming, algorithms and data structures, databases, software engineering, and tools for efficient application development. The program makes extensive use of ASP.Net, C #, Java, JavaScript, SQL, Windows, Unix, Linux and GeneXus.

Students also choose from a series of elective courses, which allow them to specialize in a field of their interest, such as the internet, computer security, networks, functional analysis and software process improvement.

The teaching methodology for the course is based on work on real cases and references to common practice and international standards. Workshops offered throughout the study program provide students with professional practice and present situations which are similar to those encountered in actual job scenarios.

Graduates of this program are able to:

  • work as analysts and programmers of computer systems, as specialists in software development as well as in the management and integration of information technology
  • audit and implement systems
  • lead multidisciplinary teams working on analysis and programming of computing systems
  • create their own software development company which provides system services and products
  • adapt to the constant changes and evolution of technology
