Associate in Computer Support

This course provides practical training in the areas of PC and network support. It provides the knowledge and skills necessary to solve most problems at the user and network level on Microsoft platforms.

Specifically, the course covers the following topics:

  • supporting users of LAN and WAN by conducting scheduled maintenance of hardware
  • configuring and managing networks on Microsoft or Linux servers
  • diagnosing and repairing faults with a PC
  • configuring equipment in line with networks, domains and customer requirements
  • making recommendations to management about the appropriateness or need for hardware upgrades and software installations
  • designing new solutions for / repairing wired and wireless networks
  • interacting with suppliers of goods and services
  • certifying cabling installations using instruments from Fluke Networks
