Associate in Operating Systems and Networks

This course provides practical training in the areas of PC and network support. It imparts the knowledge and skills necessary to solve most problems at the user and network level on Microsoft or Linux platforms.

Specifically, the course covers the following topics:

  • supporting users of LAN and WAN by conducting scheduled maintenance of hardware
  • configuring and managing networks on Microsoft or Linux servers
  • diagnosing and repairing faults with a PC
  • configuring equipment in line with networks, domains and customer requirements
  • assessing possible faults with / vulnerability of electronic circuits and apparatus
  • implementing security solutions
  • making backups of information from applications and e-mail accounts
  • making recommendations to management about the appropriateness or need for hardware upgrades and software installations
  • repairing wired and wireless networks
  • designing, configuring and managing IP telephony solutions
  • interacting with suppliers of goods and services
