BA in Interior Design

Interior Designers design and build spaces and facilities, adapting existing ones to new functional and aesthetic needs and achieving a better identity of users, spaces and the objects that make up our everyday environment.

This study program provides a thorough grounding in thoeretical and technical aspects of interior design, together with training in the use of representation tools - all in line with technological and market innovations.

The curriculum includes materials and seminars in three academic areas:

Design - conveys the skills necessary to develop professional-level projects, and to use the basic tools of communication and representation.

Technology - introduces the principles, technologies and physical systems needed to design interior architecture projects. Training is also provided in project management.

Social and human sciences - incorporates the humanistic knowledge that can be developed through interior architecture.

Graduates of this study program:

  • achieve a comprehensive education and a unified vision of design, technology and social and human sciences, which allows them to perform their professional tasks in local and regional work environments
  • are able to identify, research, interpret and creatively solve the demands of customers and users, trying to optimize the solution according to aesthetic, functional, technological, economic, ergonomic, psycho-social and cultural requirements
  • acquire the conceptual and methodological tools for developing projects to improve the quality of interior spaces and user identity
