Systems Engineering Undergraduate

This undergraduate course provides solid knowledge of advanced programming, databases, operating systems, software engineering, networks and the latest technologies applied to distributed systems.

The balance between theory and practice, and the resolution and implementation of real cases from the beginning of the program, ensures that students learn to apply the knowledge that they have acquired.

The flexible curriculum content enables students to be the engineers of their own curriculum. Core topics include: programming, software engineering, algorithms and data structures, theory of computation, system design, databases, administration, finance, business strategy, information systems, physics, mathematics, systems architecture, operating systems and computer networks, social sciences, software product engineering, management software, numerical analysis and engineering methods.

By choosing elective courses and their topic for their final project, students can customize their academic or professional education in various fields of specialization, such as information systems, software engineering, telematics, development of systems involving hardware and software, telecommunications and management.

Graduates of this program are able to:

  • design and develop large and complex systems in diverse areas such as real-time management, games, industrial control and management information systems
  • work successfully as software developers, independent consultants, project leaders or system managers
  • adapt to the constantly changing computer and software industry and lead multidisciplinary R&D teams in developing new technologies
