CPA Public Accountant

Public Accountants are responsible for the preparation, analysis and management of information required for decision-making and control in organizations. They may carry out their activities independently or work in companies in executive or advisory roles.

The Universidad ORT Public Accountant curriculum emphasizes the core competencies of the profession: accounting, auditing and taxation, while highlighting the accountant’s responsibility towards society. Six elective courses, offered from the fifth semester onward, allow students to customize their education according to their preferences and needs. They can choose from corporate finance, economics and finances and information systems.

Students have the opportunity to participate in overseas study programs and to receive transfer credits upon their return. These programs aim to educate students at an international level, improving their chances of obtaining employment in multinational companies.

Graduates interested in carrying out their profession abroad may obtain the degree of CPA (Certified Public Accountant) after studying one semester in the U.S. and passing the required certification exam.
