The Medical Assistant Diploma prepares students for entry-level positions in the medical field, with an emphasis on back office clinical procedures. Students learn computer skills and applications. They learn the medical terminology necessary for interacting with other medical professionals. Anatomy and physiology is covered to provide a broader understanding of the human body, as it relates to the clinical procedure and tasks assigned to medical assistants. An internship at the end of the program puts into practice what the student has learned, and can often lead to employment.
